I love to see in a New Year as I love to plan ahead and in this job there is always a lot of planning to be done, so for the new season we’ve been working hard up to Christmas to hopefully make it a good year for you. So what’s new?
We have a brand new ‘patch club‘
This is a monthly club that will be exploring how to make patchwork blocks, (not just for quilting). It will run once a month either on a Friday or Saturday morning.
A New Year Offer
Want to learn how to use a machine, or just received one for Christmas? We have a special offer for you. See here for details.
If you are looking to attempt your first quilt this year I’ve put a new design together for you, the quilt incorporates ‘squares inside squares’ and I’ve called it ‘My Muddy Garden’. Come along and make one this winter in time for spring? (Use different fabrics and give yours an alternative name).
See here for more information.
New Hand Sewing Classes
In Gill’s new classes you can discover how to make a small teddy called Little Ted or join her in some brooch making sessions (dates for this coming soon).
New to hand sewing, or need a little more practice? This class will show you some basic stitches that can be turned into little stitcheries. (Dates now available here).
The ‘dressmaking and repairs and alteration classes’ start again in January, but they are now full, so please watch the site as we will try and repeat these more often for you this year.
Not sure what to do? Come along this week and have a chat with us.
The Sewing Room opens again on Thursday 29th December (9.30 – 4pm)
We are also open:
Friday 30th (9.30 – 4pm)
and Saturday 31st (9.30 – 1pm)
New Year opening times can be seen here.
Have a good New Year everyone.
