I’ve spent a lovely, long weekend in a forest in Northumberland recharging my batteries and getting back in touch with nature, which is easier to do when there is little or no internet connection. An early morning walk amongst the trees, watching the squirrels was just what I needed to keep the mind fresh for a day of sewing in a log cabin with friends.

The work progressed this weekend, slowly but surely. With attention turning to Christmas, (now only 6 weeks away!), I finished some Christmas patches. All to be revealed before long.
We stopped off on the way home in Corbridge, a charming little town where you can find some gorgeous shops including this one called ‘Vintage at the Tower’, behind St Andrews church in the town center. It has a good selection of sewing notions, Liberty fabric, vintage clothes and homeware.
There are more goodies through the tower door opposite the shop, so don’t forget to have a browse in there too.
