Ever wondered how quilters make perfect pointed stars and patches? Then this is probably th emethod they used. If you think of those long, thin pointed medallion quilts and intricate pacthwork pictures they were probably done using Foundation Piceing. This is a 6 month course for absoloute beginners, even if you have never done any patchwork or quilting before.
As a stand alone method of patchwork, (which is different from the usual method) this course will have you making beautiful patchwork by the end of the year.
With only TWO spaces remaining the Foundation Patchwork Course is running once a month for 6 months up to the end of the year (July - December 2024). The room is on the upper floor at Rainton Meadows Nature Reserve Visitor Centre, (but it does have a chair lift available if necessary). Each class will be running on the following dates, usually the last Saturday of the month (except for December).
Start date is Saturday 27th July. (same time each month 10.15am - 12.45pm) Please arrive by 10am each month to set up so that we can start on time.
