If you like patchwork you may need a one of these? This pattern includes instructions on how to make a simple 'design roll' for laying out your patchwork pieces and keeping them somewhere safe. The instructions also include how you can make the matching pin cushion too.
When people come to classes they are often missing pieces of patchwork they have previously cut, so a simple design roll was made which allows the fabric pieces to 'stick' like magic to the inside for trying out different design layouts. Then just close it for coffee and when it's time to put it away, just roll it up to keep the pieces safe.
The finished size of the design roll is 14" high by 18.5" wide.
A little knowledge of hand sewing is needed. You could make both projects in one day.
