This is an ORIGINAL watercolour (October 2023) painted shortly after the felling in of the iconic tree, by Sharon Robins.
I was so upset about the felling of the tree in the middle of the night (between 27th and 28th September 2023), I felt I needed to paint it. Standing proudly all alone there for so long, in all kinds of weather, until some cowardly person / or people thought they would attack a defenceless tree, in the dark! And now its not there anymore. The ghost of a tree is all that remains.
My view is showing only the outline remaining of where the tree should be, as the mist rolls over the dip in the hill.
The painting can be bought 'framed or unframed'.

All original paintings come labelled with a 'certificate of authentication'. The larger painting is called 'The Beauty of Sycamore Gap'. If available it should be showing in the same category.
